Community Over Content

It’s easy to get caught up in creating the “perfect” post. Polished graphics, the right caption, the best timing. But here’s the thing: content matters, but community matters more.

People want to feel like they’re part of something, not just being marketed to. If your content looks amazing but no one feels connected to your nonprofit, it won’t build lasting support.

Focusing on connection first means showing up in small, human ways. Commenting, replying, encouraging, and celebrating others. Those little interactions build relationships, and relationships fuel long-term impact.

Quick Tip for Day 8:

Spend just 10 minutes today engaging with your community.

  • Comment on a partner organization’s post

  • Reply to a supporter’s message

  • Share another local nonprofit’s content

These small actions remind people that you see them, and that you’re part of the same community, not just another account posting in the feed.

Your content is important, but your connections are what make it meaningful. Build the community, and the engagement will follow.

See you tomorrow for Day 9!
